It is with great sadness the family of Alice Douglas, affectionately known as Ms. Alice, announces her passing on Oct. 8, 2024, in California. She was 75 years old.
Alice was employed by Pizza Hut and Mr. Dollar Stores in the early 1990's. She was a prized cook and baker, well known for her black cake, dating to her years living in the garden street community.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, Eugene "Scot" Douglas; sons, Walford "Wally" Douglas and Orville "Rubio" Bergan.
She is survived by her daughters, Kevermay Douglas, Sonia Chesterfield, and Denise Douglas; sisters, Catherine Joseph, Myrthlyn Charles, Lynn Bass, Hazel and Petta Richards, Viola Garvey Philbert, Rosina Boston and Valerie Mathew; brother, Leroy Mathew; grandchildren, Levi Douglas, Khalil Douglas, Allen Wells III, Waneka Douglas, Takeemo Springette, De Ondre Douglas, Orville Bergan Jr., Makayla Chesterfield, Dejah and Kinique Lambertis, Jace and Jaleel Allen, Dario and Dariana Johnson; great grand daughters, Khalia Douglas, Sade Jordan and Aleigha Herbert; great grandsons, Dylan Bergan, Esai and Elani Springette and Legend Douglas; son-in-law, Kurt Chesterfield; brothers-in-law, Roy Charles, Hubert, Sidney and Desmond Douglas; sisters-in-law, Mauricia and Janet Douglas.Also left to mourn are special friends, Alexis "Pinky" Richardson and Christine and Rupert Buchanan. Many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention extended to St. Kitts, Bermuda and the mainland. Alice will be greatly missed.
