In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Alphonso "Baker" "Marshall" Morrishaw, 92, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Friday, April 24, 2026.

He was residing in Anna's Retreat, St. Thomas USVI. He was born July 26, 1933 on the island of St. Kitts to Daisy Morrishaw and Malcolm Lawrence. He was educated in St. Kitts and worked as a tailor and a conductor until he moved to St. Thomas USVI for a better life. While living in St. Thomas, he worked as a construction worker, baker, tailor, gas attendant, maintenance worker, delivery truck driver and other odd jobs to support his family. Alphonso loved playing pool, domino's, sewing, cooking, baking, dancing, reading, listening to music, telling stories and helping people. He lived in New York for several years before moving back to St. Thomas and visited Virginia and South Carolina from time to time.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Ann Elaine Abbott-Morrishaw, children: Samuel Morrishaw his wife Deborah Morrishaw, Althea Morrishaw, Denise Matthew her husband Richard Matthew, Alicia Morrishaw, Alphonso Anthony (Easy)  Morrishaw, Jefroy Morrishaw his wife Gweneth Morrishaw, Sherry A. Morrishaw, Daisy Huggins her husband Redford Huggins, Allison Morrishaw, George E. Morrishaw his wife Crystal Morrishaw, Esther Persaud her husband Mukesh Persuad, Beverly Morrishaw, 42 grandchildren, 59 great- grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, his special friends, families and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alphonso preceded in death of his mother Daisy Morrishaw, father Malcolm Lawrence, children Eulalie Maurishow, Euklyn L.  Morrishaw and Vanica Liburd.
