In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Ana L. Illarraza, 91, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Ana L. Ilarraza, affectionately known as Ms. Ana. Ms. Ana, a native of Puerto Rico, born July 13, 1932, made St. Thomas her home for the past seventy years. She served as a teacher at the former Abraham Lincoln School from 1955 to 1958, which was renamed the J. Antonio Jarvis Elementary School. Thereafter, she worked at the Department of Family Services, now the Department of Human Services, where she served as the Social Director of Welfare and later became the District Chief of the Division of Food Stamps. Ms. Ana is survived by her sister Carmen E. Agosto; Nephew, Victor E. Agosto; Nieces, Ana M. Agosto and Victoria I. Jimenez; Daughters, Millicent R. Parris, Ornette M. Martin, Joycelyn Parris, Maria Concepción, Norma Concepción and Attorney Nandi Sékou; Son, Pablo Concepción; Grandchildren, Diane Deme, Corey Leader, Alberto V. Donastorg, Craig Martin, Troy Martin, Felicia Henry Swenson, Emanual "Rico" Henry, Tremoi Martin, TJ Chalmers, Jalik Harrigan, Sherice Gilkes Parline, Jada Concepcion, Pablo Concepcion, Jr., Bianca Concepción, Dr. Shenée Martin and Zoreena Donastorg. Special cousins, Cecilia Rivera-Hill, Wilfredo "Papote" Rivera (New York), Awilda Rivera, and Wanda Ivelisse Rivera. Ten great grandchildren and many other friends and relatives. Preceded in death by her husband Jesús Ilarraza; sisters Victoria Agosto and Roseanna Parris; brother, Eugenio Agosto; daughter, Elisa Henry; grandchildren, Kim Parris, Komorr Donastorg, Vasheo Donastorg and Bertstrand Gilkes.
