She was born on March 12, 1951 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Bernadette was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her devotion to her Family, extended Family and friends was unconditional. Bernadette loved life and loved laughter and brought joy to all. She has touched the lives and hearts of all who knew her and she will forever be missed.

She is survived by her sons, Jerome Gaillard, Bernard Gaillard, Yusef Joshua; Grandchildren: Jerome Gaillard Jr., Jeremiah Gaillard, Jamila Gaillard, Shermor Gaillard, Jaleel Gaillard, Jahmal Joshua, Jaquan Joshua, Jahnae Joshua, Josai Joshua, Y'mari Joshua, Yasseem Joshua, Yadir Joshua, Marliegh Isles, Autumn Isles, Summer Isles, Ryliegh Isles; Brothers and Sisters: Yusef Fleming, Lambert Fleming Jr., Roan Fleming, Cheryl Fleming, Lorraine Fleming, Ianthe Boggan, Collette Fleming, Renee Crawford, Joset Fleming; and many other relatives, extended family, and close friends too numerous to mention.
