In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Mr.Bevin G. Romain, 76, of St.Thomas VI, passed away on Jan. 6th, 2024.
He was Born on Oct. 17th, 1947 to Marsden and Evangeline Lafonde Romain in the village of St. Joseph, Dominica. He's an alumnus of Saint Mary's Academy and City University - where he continued his education and obtained a degree in Automotive Engineering.
Bevin had a prosperous career as a surveyor and entrepreneur in the fields of aviation, automotive, and commerce. In his leisure time, he delves into hobbies such as DJing, playing tennis, DIY projects, and in his youthful years, motorcycling. He was a lover of music, with reggae being his favorite.
Bevin loved his family dearly and always supported their growth and goals, as a mentor in his community, he was always generous to those he encountered and took pride in giving back. He lived a courageous and adventurous life to the end.
Bevin was predeceased by his son, Netfa "Tafa" Romain; brother- Anthony Romain and sister- Beverly Romain.
He is survived by:
Daughters- Beverly, Yheanara, and Khadeeja Romain. Grandchildren - Jordan Netfa, Quentin Joseph, Kenan Bevin, and Kharlon Harry Romain. Daughter-in-law - Natasha Romain. Siblings and their spouses - Archeson and Sarah Romain; Angela Romain, Charmaine and Vincent Shillingford, Corin La Ville, Ruthine Romain, Tim Romain, and Fitz Romain. He is also survived by his former wife, Louise "Lulu" Romain. Nieces and nephews - Nari, Kyiame, Tariq, Stephen, Ed, Austin, Kurt, Casani, Curtis, Pat, Chende, Carn, Tawana, Lisa, Allison, Karlene, Timisha and Marilyn. Close friends he met with throughout his life.
