In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Dante S. Decastro, 98, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in Beech Island, South Carolina. Dante S. deCastro 98, was born on the island of Antigua on July 2,1925, to parents late Alice Matthew-Gordon and Dalton deCastro. Dante had a successful career in banking and voluntarily served many organizations in his church and community.

Mr. deCastro is survived  by his wife Janet DeWindt- deCastro, daughter Bernice Denbow, granddaughters, Bernice Arnold (Gregg) and Michelle Pitts (Buddy); two great grandsons Andre and James; two great grand daughters Bria and Christina; stepdaughter Carolyn (Terrence)Washington; stepsons Danny (Annette) Crawford; and David (Temeka) Crawford; Step grandsons, Steven(Linda) and Russell (Deborah) Lowe. Nieces: Eileen Donovan, Margaret Almyra Penn, Miriam Isola Marine, Joyce deCastro, Janet de Castro-Strain, Carol deCastro- Henry; Synthia de Castro, Nephew Edward deCastro, Alli Dante Dottin
