In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Egene Leroy Peters, Sr., 81, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anne Peters, brothers Cleavian and Felix Peters, sister Mavis Samuel, sisters- in-law Glendora, Keturah, and Irene Peters, brother-in-law Rupert Kirby, and son Myron Peters. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Peters, children, Egene "Leroy" Peters Jr. (Mildred), Etza Smith (Dana), Jennifer Rivera (Raphael), Heidi Kwiat (Timothy), Matthew Peters, Christopher Peters, Christine McNair (Charlie) and honorary daughter Cynthia Dixon (Butch) and brothers Newton and Erwin Peters, sister, Iris Kirby, sisters-in-law Gertrude and Araminta Peters and brother-in-law Austin Samuel. He also left behind eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends too numerous to mention.
