Obituary

In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Eileen Nisbett, 84, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Saturday, March 07, 2026.

A native of Conaree, St. Kitts. A long-time member of City Seventh -Day Adventist Church, and a current member of Shiloh Seventh-Day Adventist Tabernacle in St. Thomas.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Christian Augustus Samuel, her grandmothers, Emmelina Tudor and Mary "Dolly" Ferdinand Lewis, her mother, Matilda Samuel, her father, Jose Phipps, and her sister, Marlene Phipps-Simms.

She leaves to mourn her husband William Nisbett, daughters Lisa Donastorg and Deana Patrice Nisbett, and stepson William Nisbett. Brothers Marlon, Cameron, Morel, Castro, and Calvo Phipps, sisters Cora Phipps, Shammie Phipps, and Marlo Johnson. Brothers-in-law J. Mastine (Enid), Harold, and Rupert Nisbett. Sisters-in-law Mavis Morales Rosario (Cecilio - Deceased) and Loreen Annette Nisbett.

Adopted children, Claudia Hendrickson (Maryland), Claudia McCall (St. Kitts), Pastor Desmond James, Jenee Jarvis, Judy Norford Ross (Alabama), Julian Tony Norford (Florida), Linda Blyden, Lisa T. Lewis (Florida), Marcia Jones, Maria Alexander, Sadie Amin (Guyana), and Veran Peters (Antigua). Adopted grandchildren, Adjanique Carty, Adjanaye Carty, Harifah Hendrickson (California), Subirah Hendrickson (Pennsylvania), and Jameik Woodley (Florida). Honorable mention to Italia (Deceased), Mitch (Deceased), Camden and Chloe.

Special Cousins: Lydia Estelle Jones-Farrington, Cheryl Jones, Debbie and Donald Welsh, Veronica Williams, Julia Webster, Kyrie Webster, Tricia and Shantel Williams, Kai Davis,  Peggy Christopher, Carrie Jones, Claudette Hendrickson, Lolita Francis, Joyce Isaac, Angela Francis, Norma Davis, Sandra and Andy Carter, Anthony Richards, Lionel "Tim" Phillip-Tudor, Carol Phillip, Henry, Sam, Ernest, Cathrine, Jean, and Selene Laws.

Many nieces and nephews, and cousins too numerous to mention. A multitude of cousins, including the Lewis, Ferdinand, Tudor, Samuel, Phillip, Walwyn, Isaac, Francis, Laws, and Jones families.
