Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Elody Eileen Flax, a native of Virgin Gorda BVI and resident of St. Thomas at her home in Lindbergh Bay on June 29. She is survived by brothers Ottley Flax of St. Thomas, Dr. Marvin Flax of Tortola, BVI and Gerwyn Flax of Florida, U.S., Nephews Marvin Flax II, Geoffrey Flax, Lester Flax, Dwight Flax, Kaleb Flax, Germaine Flax, nieces Tracy Flax, Cary Lakay, Sister-in-law Donna Flax and Alma Flax.

Special Friend Beryl Todman and many cousins. Ms. Flax held employment in her earlier years at Vitelco, and Bluebeards and much later for an abbreviated period at Springette’s Flowers. Before becoming seriously ill, she attended Christchurch Methodist of which she was a member. She was also a member of the Women’s League of that church and often sang alto in the Gospelairs and another local choir group. She was 81 years of age.
