In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Emanuel D. Bertrand, 33, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Monday, February 10, 2025.

Emanuel was born on January 31, 1992, on the island of St. Thomas. He was the beloved son of Annette Canton-Bertrand and Edison Achille Bertrand, and the second child of their union.

Emanuel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Emanuel "Eddie" Bertrand of St. Thomas, and his first cousin, Jacques Pierre Bertrand.

He is survived by his loving parents; his grandparents, Ernestine "Ernie" Bertrand, Delmina "Del" Thomas Canton, Alvin Canton, and Rita Canton; his sister, Tiffany L. Bertrand Goldman, and brother-in-law, Abraham D. Goldman; his uncles, Wilburn A. Canton, Etienne, Andre, and Eduard Bertrand; his aunts, Beryl and Loretta Bertrand; and his first cousins, Nicole, Jean, Ikechi, Amichi, Chioma, Chinela, Rodney, Bryan, Christopher, and Emann Bertrand.

His godmothers—Unah Turnbull, Carolyn Chinnery Nibbs, Denise Dublin Belcher, Clarice O'Connor, and Lillian Greaux—were cherished presences in his life. He is also survived by many other beloved family members, including great-aunts, great-uncles, and friends.

A special tribute is extended to those who played a meaningful role in Emanuel's life by offering mentorship, friendship, and unwavering support. They include Reverend Lenroy Cabey, Ronald Revere, Corinne Van Rensselaer, Scott Bradley, Julius Jackson, Mark Freeman, and the dedicated team at My Brother's Workshop.
