In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Leslie Alphonso George, affectionately known as "Mr. George", 70, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Friday, May 07, 2026.

Born in Anguilla, B.W.I., Leslie was the son of the late Clarissa (Phillips) George and the late Samuel George. He was a proud graduate of Charlotte Amalie High School, Class of 1977. Throughout his life, Leslie worked in several fields, including many years of dedicated public service as an Appraiser with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor, where he faithfully served the people of the Virgin Islands for 15 years.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Kurdy George; stepson, Keondy Garrett; children, Kyra Blyden George, Courtney, Lahkeal, Ahleak, Tereka and Sebastien George; grandchildren, Jakeal, Javante, Jahyne, AJahnye, Emilio, Esteban, Kamrynn, and Kaleeah George.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Marlene, Cynthia, Leonard, Cecelia, Catherine, James, Lolita, Keith, and Sammy; Karen Blyden his first children mother who remained close to the family), aunts Ena and Norma; sisters-in-law Marie Benjamin, Barbara, and Cheryl; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives (cousins), and dear friends.

Special recognition is extended to close friends and neighbors including Roy Saffront, Bernadette, Reggie, Benji, Jeff I, Yellow and Ramona, Chantele, Mrs. Hill, Ms Vantepool, Ms. Henderson, George Penn, Sybille Sorrentino and Thomas Kelley, Matilda and josett, and Hyacinth Thomas., Daniel Beige & onnestine, Edia,
