In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Madia V. Haynes, 84, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her father, Olmond Haynes, and her mother, Margaret Clarke, as well as her brothers Elmo Williams, Elmet “Ashley” Williams, Sr., and Habib Tiwoni, sister Lydia Haynes Boschulte, nephew Alva George, and nieces Stephanie Williams Amory, and Cynthia Eggleston.
She leaves behind her son, Marlon Brin, and daughter, Molissa Haynes Brin; grandson Hasheem Brin and granddaughter Hasuni Brin; and great-grandson Nassir Brin.
She is also survived by her brother, Orville Haynes; her sisters, Elaine Eggleston and Harriet Clarke; sister-in-law Mei Mei Haynes; and adoptive sister Ura Gosha.
She will be lovingly remembered by her nephews, Elvin Eggleston, Ashley Williams Jr., Hakim Tiwoni, Tecumta Tiwoni, Marquell Haynes, and Lionel “Teddy” Boschulte; and her nieces, Melinda Cooper, Monica Eggleston, Eloise Williams Bonaparte, Esther Williams, Michelle Williams, Denise Williams, Hakima Tiwoni Hernandez, Habiba Tiwoni Osman, Tupac Amaru Tiwoni, Nydia Haynes, Nicolette Haynes, Renee Haynes Hansen, Germaine Turnbull Morrish, Lynda Boschulte, Laura Boschulte, and Luz Boschulte.
She leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
