In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Mavis V. Samuel, 95, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Friday, September 20, 2024. Mavis is survived by her children Corbet Charleswell(son), Michelle "Shelly" Samuel(daughter), and Cecelia "Celia" George(daughter). Her son in law Bradley Charleswell. Her grand children Akiela Martin-Greene, Kishma David, Rochelle Charleswell, Jamar Charleswell, Rockly Charleswell, Chayne Charleswell, and Lashae Brown. Four great-grandchildren Ajera Ottley, Ra'Kayla Greene, Amarie Greene, and Ro'mel Greene. She is also survived by a host of nieces starting with Coreen Samuel, Doris Samuel-Roger, Beryl Samuel-Larsen, Patricia Samuel, Jacqueline Callwood-Cordero, and Jennifer Callwood. Her nephews Dennis Samuel Sr, Bertrand Samuel, Byron Samuel, and Lucien "Jambie/Poso" Jr. Plus her great-nieces, and great-nephews too numerous to mention. Mavis is now preceded in death by her brothers Lucien Samuel and Leslie "Sam" Samuel, her sister Leoniece Samuel and her uncle Retired Colonel Axel Henri Sr., Axel Henri Jr- Erica Henri-Anita Henri.
