In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Pierre A. LaPlace, 90, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023. He was born Aug. 30,1933 on the island of St. Barth's but began his life here on St. Thomas at the young age of 15. He became a contractor by profession but also a fisherman and farmer. Pierre was preceded in death by his wife, Noreen LaPlace; sisters, Carmelle Ledee, Therese Ledee, and Henriette LaPlace; and daughter-in-law, Sheila LaPlace. He is survived by his two sons, Ricky and Robert LaPlace; grandchildren, Zackary, Nicholas, Angelique, Dylyn, and Masyn LaPlace; great-granddaughter, Jayda LaPlace; daughter-in-law, Aimee LaPlace; brother-in-law, David Aubain; sisters-in-law, Dorita Burns and Donna Stanton.
