Rezeina Victoria
Garnette
Oct 29, 1940 — Oct 8, 2023
In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Rezeina Victoria Garnette, 82, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away in Hinesville, Georgia. Rezeina Victoria Garnette who was affectionately called "Tita" was born on the beautiful island of St. Kitts and Nevis in the Village of Challengers on October 29th, 1940. She was the second of fourteen siblings. She attended Trinity Palmetto Point Primary School located in the Parrish of Trinity Palmetto Point. In January of 1962, she decided to relocate to the island of St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands and that is where she worked and raised her family. She was a hard worker and worked for many families and at many establishments. She worked for the Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) for 10 years before retiring. She was a woman of faith and attended Christ Church Methodist, Market Square for over 60 years where she enjoyed hearing God's word preached by Bishop Charles Seaton. She was a member of Sunday School Class #18 but, as she declined in health and was unable to attend church, Class President Ms. Cobina Nicholas faithfully maintained telephone contact with her. She was also a member of the Benevolent Society. She was an avid crafter and loved to crochet making doilies, tablecloths and pillows. She also made blankets and booties for grandkids and great-grandkids, and some are still treasured 20 years later. She was a master at puzzle books and loved completing them daily to "keep her mind fresh". She loved seeing God's wonderful creation bloom and she used her green thumb to grow everything from flowers, "bush tea", vegetables and fruits. She would say "The only way you will know if it will grow is to plant it". She enjoyed traveling and was blessed to visit many places like Germany, England, France, Egypt and Kuwait, to name a few. She died on October 8th, 2023, peacefully with her son Everard at her side. She was loved and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her father, William Adulphus Seaton, mother, Beatrice Ann 'Hymie' Hazell Garnette-Morgan, son Wilton Nathaniel Daniel, sister Valerie Taylor, brothers Victor Garnette and David Morgan, grandson, Malik Azhar Richardson and special cousin Inez (Caines) Blanchard.
