Roy “Sonny Boy, Tall Boy” Thomas, 75, of St. Thomas, USVI, formerly of Tortola, BVI, passed away in Florida on Friday, October 2, 2026. He retired from the Water and Power Authority (WAPA) after 35 years of service. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Iris and Joseph Thomas; brothers Elmo “Boysie” Thomas and Joseph Thomas, Jr.; sisters, Elvera Brooks, Eldra and Muriel Thomas.

Roy is survived by his daughter Natasha Thomas; son, Royell Thomas; grandson, Tashanni Wright; great-grandson, Kyion Wright; stepdaughter Lurlyn Henry; brothers, Kenneth and Milford Thomas; sisters, Cynthia Thomas-Trotman, Beulah, Jenice and Angela Thomas; brothers-in-law, Anthony Brooks and Ernest “Butch” Trotman; sisters-in-law, Linda Thomas and Lauren “Linda” Thomas; nephews, Kareem Thomas, Allington Frazer, Shane Richards, Ernest Trotman, Jr, Deon Thomas, and Jamaal Thomas; nieces, Michelle Thomas-Forde, Tausha Thomas-David, Tamika Thomas-Williams, Tamra Thomas, Tonya Thomas, Ahsima Richards-Anthony and Makeda Trotman; uncle, Orthlie Adams; aunt, Ivy Adams-Creque and numerous extended family.
