In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Scarlet "Gwennie" Richardson, 84, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and West End, Tortola who passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Ernest Richardson, and their loving dog, Reba Richardson; her sister, Rosita Margarita Penn; and her stepchildren, Kevin Richardson (and his wife, Mageorie Richardson) and Shawn Richardson.

She also leaves behind her sisters‑in‑law, Cynthia Webbe and Diana Maduro Romney; her aunt, Helen Tapia; her adopted daughters, Winifred Thomas and Veronica Browne; and her adopted son, CorrisDouglas.

She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren at heart: Justin Richardson, Asiah Richardson, Faith Dejoie, Jameka Thomas, Jammal Thomas, KamilahBrowne, Kadeem Browne, Kamise Douglas, and Ca'leyah Douglas.

She is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews, including Mona Erickson, Marjorie Penn, Marie Lee Penn, Shamelia Romney‑Winter, Shari'aRomney, Yanira Romney, Xenia Romney, KadiaTurnbull, Hugh "Chris" Erickson, Floyd Forbes, Neiman Romney, Mareq Romney, Samory Romney, Hilary Hazel, and Denise Sinclair, along with extended family and friends who will continue to honor her memory.
