Obituary

In profound sorrow we the Management & Staff of Turnbull's Funeral Home & Crematory Services announce the passing of Wingrove H. Fenton, 76, of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands who passed away Saturday, June 06, 2026.

For many years, he was a familiar and trusted voice on the radio, touching countless lives through his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others. He was a pillar of the community, and dedicated himself to serving others, inspiring people to persevere, and helping find solutions to life's challenges. He believed deeply in the power of compassion, understanding, and meaningful conversation, which made him a trusted confidant, mentor, and friend to many.

At the center of his life was his faith in God. He trusted wholeheartedly in the Lord's guidance, drawing strength, peace, and purpose from his relationship with God. His faith was not merely professed but lived daily, and he often reminded others that no burden was too heavy to place in God's hands and that hope could always be found through faith.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Wade; father, George Fenton; and sister, Anolda Fenton.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 53 years, Muriel Fenton; daughters, Marie Fenton and Merle Fenton; and grandson, Kendrick Kambinga.

He is also survived by his sisters, Laurine Fenton and Nelva Taub; brother, Walton Fenton; and many nieces and nephews.

Though Wingrove's earthly voice has been silenced, his legacy lives on in the cherished memories of his guidance, wisdom, humor, and unconditional love that he shared so freely, and they will continue to resonate in the hearts and lives of all who were blessed to know him. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. May he rest in eternal peace in the presence of the God he loved and served so faithfully.

The family expresses sincere gratitude for the outpouring of condolences, comfort and support.
